In November of 2015, TAG Heuer officially introduced its first Android Wear-based smartwatch.

Sales went well for that smartwatch, and, as a result, the company has moved forward with the brand, introducing a brand new smartwatch (and mechanical watch) to the family. The new wearable is the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45, and customers who buy it will get their wrist under a mechanical watch, as well as a connected smartwatch running Android Wear 2.0.

As far as features go, the Connected Modular 45 boasts a 1.39-inch AMOLED round display, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage, and a 410mAh battery that TAG Heuer says can last up to 25 hours with “regular use.” The smartwatch is also equipped with NFC for Android Pay support, GPS, a microphone, and light sensor. The wearable also features Android Assistant support, and a brand new companion app that TAG Heuer says will help manage calls, tasks, and calendars.

This is a modular watch, and therefore can be customized to a ridiculous degree. That includes down to the buckles, which are available in titanium or black PVD. The brackets are available in ceramic, rubber, titanium, and leather. Customers can even customize the lugs, which are available in ceramic, diamonds, titanium, and rose gold options.

Pricing starts at $1,650, but depending on how a customer customizes their new watch, the price can ratchet up to $7,000. Of course, the inclusion of a mechanical watch might help make that price tag acceptable to some, and the Connected brand certainly has done well for TAG Heuer up to this point.
